Description of Services

At SchoRen NMS Solutions, we believe that the customer wants a total package from the vendor. So we provide the total package, automatically. Other services are only provided upon request.

The total package includes:

System Design - You, the customer, collaborate with, both, SchoRen NMS Solutions Marketing and Engineering to develop the optimum system design. We ask you to describe your telecommunications infrastructure. Then, Marketing and Engineering analyze this infrastructure, deciding the best way to monitor your system with the TrapServer.

Installation and Integration - The TrapServer software is installed at the factory. Then a representative appears at your site to install the TrapServer hardware, performing tasks such as TCP / IP Networking, User Administration and Python Module installation. In addition, the SchoRen representative will help you integrate your equipment with the TrapServer, so that your equipment can be monitored.

Technical Support - The SchoRen support motto is: "first identify the problem, then continue working it until it is solved". Often times identifying the root cause of the problem takes more time than solving the problem itself. Nevertheless, identifying the problem is paramount requirement when attempting to solving it. At SchoRen NMS Solutions we continue to work all issues until they are identified. Once identified, an agreeable solution to the problem can by declared by you and SchoRen NMS Solutions.

Training - When your operators are trained on the TrapServer, they are also learn much more. This is because SchoRen training imparts general knowledge in areas such as Python, Linux, SNMP, TL1 and ASCII Management. Moreover, we teach not just what the TrapServer is designed to do, but we also explain how and why it is done. In this manner, your operators are exposed to subject manner that allows them to become well rounded in the area of network management. 

Custom Python Module Design - SchoRen maintains a library of Python Modules (Python-language modules whose purpose is to monitor ASCII data transmitted by the customer equipment). For example, the library contains Python Modules to monitor the Badger AC NetManager, the Northern Telecom DMS10 and DMS100 / 250 / 500, and the Tellabs 53X DACS. Let's assume that your application requires that a NetManager and a DMS10 be monitored, along with an "ACME ABC-X". Well, even though the "ACME ABC-X" is not currently in the SchoRen Python Module library, SchoRen can still develop a module to monitor that equipment. In this case, SchoRen can provide the service required to develop a custom Python Module. You would work with the SchoRen representative to develop a Python Module that runs within the highly customizable TrapServer ASCII management environment. Once this custom module is complete, you will be monitoring your entire telecommunications infrastructure. Python modules for specific network elements generally can be written, tested and added in two to three weeks.

TrapServer™ provides a gateway into an SNMP Managed environment and manages all other devices using
 SNMP and ASCII and Tl-1. The NOC then has a common interface and database for all the equipment
